Pleasant Weekend in Store

Thunderstorms, and associated severe weather, have moved out of the state. For most of us in central and eastern Oklahoma, we are seeing cloudy skies with temperatures remaining on the chilly side, in the 50s and low-60s. For the far west, skies have cleared, and temperatures are on the rise. We also have warm temperatures, already in the 70s, in far southeastern Oklahoma.

Saturday
Following some morning fog, clouds will slowly begin to lift across the state, yielding partly to mostly cloudy skies by the afternoon. Of course, the west is enjoying abundant sunshine right now, which will continue throughout the day. High temperatures will vary across the state today. We will have highs reaching the 70s in western Oklahoma and the western part of central Oklahoma. In northeastern Oklahoma, on the other hand, highs will only top out in the upper-50s to 60s. The eastern part of central Oklahoma and southeastern and south central Oklahoma will see highs anywhere from the mid-60s to 70s.

Saturday Night
Tonight will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies across the state of Oklahoma, with low temperatures reaching the mid-40s to low-50s across the state. The chillier lows will be occurring in the panhandle and northeast, while the warmer lows will occur in the southwest. Northerly winds blowing at 5 to 10 mph early will become relatively calm after midnight.

Sunday
Sunday brings in spring with high temperatures on the rise for Oklahoma. We will see highs in the low-to-mid-80s for central and western Oklahoma. In eastern Oklahoma, though we do not expect to see the 80s, you can still enjoy much warmer highs in the mid-to-upper-70s. Skies will be mostly sunny across the state. Calm winds in the morning will blow around 5 to 10 mph later in the day. Speeds may be a little stronger in the west, at around 15 to 20 mph.
