Seasonable, Dry Weekend

We hope all of you enjoyed your Fourth of July holiday. Following cooler temperatures last week, especially in the morning, we are expecting temperatures this weekend to be more seasonable across the state with relatively dry conditions. The summer pattern will continue on into next week, but temperatures will quickly be on the rise starting on Monday and stay warm all week. Despite slight chances for showers and thunderstorms around the Wednesday-Thursday timeframe, we will be dealing with another hot and dry week, especially in the west where highs in the 100s will return.

Today
Increased cloud cover with isolated, light showers is currently in place over western Oklahoma. This will only last through the early afternoon with skies clearing afterwards. Meanwhile, the rest of the state will see no rain today and partly cloudy skies through the afternoon and evening. Our afternoon highs will be in the triple-digits across southwest Oklahoma, while reaching the upper-90s across the rest of western Oklahoma and the panhandle. For central and eastern Oklahoma, highs will reach the mid-90s, a seasonable day.

Sunday
We are expecting dry conditions across the entire state on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies. The morning will start with mild lows in the low-to-mid-70s. Afternoon highs will again remain seasonable in the mid-90s across central and eastern Oklahoma while reaching the upper-90s to low-100s across western Oklahoma and the panhandle.
