Average Fall Week
After a chilly start in the mid 40s for Wednesday morning, temperatures will rise quickly during the afternoon hours into the mid to upper 70s across the state. A few 80s in southwestern and western Oklahoma look likely. Due to a high pressure in the area skies will remain mostly clear throughout the day.
Thursday will start a tad warmer with temperatures in the upper 40s but an incoming cold front during the afternoon hours will only allow high temperatures to reach into the middle 60s across central Oklahoma with high temperatures only reaching into the upper 50s for western Oklahoma. Skies will again remain mostly clear with the exception of a few clouds along the cold front.
Friday will start much cooler with temperatures in the upper 30s for the western half of the state. Clouds will increase through the afternoon hours. High temperatures will be in the 60s for almost all of the state with the exception of the southwestern part of Oklahoma.
A Look Ahead
A more stormy pattern will start up this weekend with a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday. Models are hinting at some strong thunderstorms for early next week, but it is too soon to tell how strong the storms will be. So we don't know what we can expect for sure. Overall, the upcoming week will be very fall-like in terms of temperature.
