Weekly Weather Outlook

From all of us here at the OWL Media Center, we hope you all were safe and your Holidays were full of fun times with family and friends.

The week will start with a cold front moving through the area Sunday night (January 20, 2013) where temperatures will be in the mid 40s. This cold front is the cause of a massive cold outbreak in the northern plains where wind chills values will be as low as -50.

From there, a warming trend will ensue across all of Oklahoma through mid-week where temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s. There are early indications of temperatures topping out near 70 in central Oklahoma Wednesday. Clouds will increase Wednesday evening with a small chance for drizzle.

After that a cold front will move through early Thursday morning promoting much cooler temperatures to end the week. Highs Friday will only reach into the middle 40s.
